On April 22, TempWorks will be rolling out the first phase in a product upgrade to our WebCenter platform. This launch will include updates to the Customer Portal, but Employee Portal enhancements are already in the works. These changes are designed to create a better user experience, and provide our clients with a differentiation point in the market to grow their business and improve adoption.

TempWorks is committed to helping our clients every step of the way in support of this launch, and to that end have assembled a host of resources to aid in this transition, build enthusiasm, and promote customer usage of the platform.

One of the key resources the team has built is a webinar designed to showcase the platform and the changes as well as give context to the product roadmap that led us here. In this article we’ll not only cover the high points of the April 9 webinar, but we’ll showcase many of the other resources available to our clients.

You can watch the recording of the webinar here:

But first, what’s new with the New WebCenter?

Product updates don’t happen on an island. Early in the webinar, Eli Scallon, a product manager with TempWorks, walked through the various inputs that led to these upgrades.

WebCenter has long been a highly functional platform offering customers security, accuracy, and visibility to data flowing in and out of your system. The core functionality of the WebCenter Customer Portal is largely remaining the same. After many conversations with our internal teams, performing industry research, and working closely with our clients, it became clear that there were changes that could be made to WebCenter that would have major impact right out of the gate.

In these upgrades, our team focused on four key areas:

  • A redesigned, modern UX

  • A completely mobile-friendly interface

  • Improved search functionality

  • Streamlined processes

Once we had the context for the changes, the webinar moved onto a live demonstration where our Senior Sales Engineers, Alexander Swanson and Shawna Evans, walked through some of the key features of the WebCenter Customer Portal. What made the demo unique was that our sales engineers framed the presentation to provide the language and selling points that staffing agencies can use to promote the platform to their customers.

During the webinar our sales engineers emphasized the benefit of WebCenter as a way to reduce errors, highlighting the fact that each individual payroll error can cost nearly $300, which has a major impact on a staffing firm’s bottom line over time.

With all of these upgrades to WebCenter, another focus of the presentation was to find ways to promote customer usage of the platform. The team provided a list of simple ways to bring users onto the platform and encourage adoption. Some of those tips included:

  • Add a link to WebCenter in your invoices

  • Add WebCenter as a resource to your website

  • Include a link to WebCenter within your email signature

  • Host a one-to-one informational session similar to this one with your customers

Answering the FAQs

Lastly, the presentation ended by covering some of the more frequently asked questions surrounding the new WebCenter Customer Portal launch. Let’s take a look here:

When will the new Customer Portal be available?

Tuesday, April 22.

What will my experience be like on the day of launch?

You will log into WebCenter the same way you always do. All the migration has been handled on our end. When you’re ready, toggle over to the new WebCenter and try it out!

Will my login process stay the same?

Yes! URLs, usernames and passwords will all remain the same.

Can I still access Legacy WebCenter?

Yes! You will see the Legacy Customer Portal by default, with the ability to toggle to the new WebCenter with a couple clicks. You can also return to the Legacy Customer Portal in the same way. Just remember that whatever view you’re in will persist the next time you log in.

Is Employee Portal also changing?

Not yet! We are hard at work on updates to the Employee Portal, coming later this year.
